NEW ALLIANCE GAME - MINIPET RACING!

In celebration of GW's 4th Anniversary, the GoTH guild is pleased to host a new Alliance game, called Minipet Racing.

This Thursday, at 8:00 PM EST, we will register members (and their minipets) to compete in the GoTH GH.

Similar to Turtle Racing, the contestants will be assigned to a square along sides of the flag stand, and once given the signal, will release their minipets from inventory at the same time. The first minipet to wander off the edge of the stand and into the surrounding grass will be declared by the judges to be the winner.

Prizes (in gold and items) will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers, and all who participate will receive a free gift.
So, pick out your luckiest minipet, and prepare to race!

EDIT: here are the rules
You attend the minipet races @goth guild hall, in the center of our guild battle area
Register the minipet that you will be racing before the race starts. If you use the same pet as someone else we will place you on the playing field to the other side so they cannot get mixed up. Minis that fly or float cannot be entered.
We can loan a pet if you need one-we choose which mini it will be.
Before the race starts we will help you pick a square. Our guild hall has what looks like a checker board at the center. The square will be in the third row from the edge but not on the corners.
When the host says "ready, set, go" everyone lets their pets out of inventory.
The pets wander in random directions, and to win they must cross over the two squares between you and the edge of the "board"
First pet that make it to the grassy area wins!

There a couple requirements before you can register your minuture pets

First it must make contact with the ground... no floaters or flyers can play
Second, you may be asked to choose another mini pet if yours could be confused with one already registered (i.e. a duplicate pet). The first duplicate will be able to play by assigning it's owner to the opposite side of our flagstand "board" but after that we reserve the right to request alternate pets for play.

Well, this is going to be a special event. I do not know if it will become a regular thing or not. But you can always host Trivia next week.

it's sort of cool that the 2nd and 3rd place winners both used pets on loan from the hosts since they didn't have one of their own to enter with.
Goth is thinking about making this an event to go on the in-between weeks of trivia
