But the xunlai tabs cost money, looks like we can have 4 extra/8tabs max, they will be $10 UA each. But there is a promotion for one free

And the menagerie sounds like a way to unlock different pets at different evolutions, because pvp characters have only had the choice of an elder wolf.

I hope the zaishen guy gives out jars of honey like the fellow in pre But I'll probbaly be too busy to do them

lets see if I can help to clarify the annoucement by shuffling the order of what they said:

Storage Upgrades:
Every character will get a fifth (inventory) slot for an Equipment Pack: Equipment Packs in assorted sizes, designed solely to hold weapons and armor (gear). (so buy a big sized one if you are a clothes horse!)

More purchasable Xunlai Storage panes (tabs). (to celebrate our anniversary, we have a limited-time offer where you can get a FREE pane of Xunlai Storage. Our upcoming promotion will be the ONLY way to get this special pane; it is extra, which means you can't buy it later.)
Each pane is $9.99 USD from the in-game store or the NCsoft Store. You can buy up to four of them (the regular ones, not the promotional one) for a single account.

and as far as the Zaishen Challenge Quests
There will be three different types of Zaishen Challenge Quests: Mission, Bounty, and PvP. you can only have three in your quest log at once. The most comprehensive strategy is to finish challenge quests the day you get them, so you free up space in your quest log for the next day's batch. Check back daily to take on the new Zaishen Challenge Quest experience. Each day, a new quest of each type is available in the Great Temple of Balthazar.

Zaishen Menagerie
Adding charmed pets to the Menagerie is absolutely free. Bring any pet with you or your Heroes to the Tamer in the Menagerie Grounds. The Tamer will check your pet's evolution and unlock that tier and any lower tiers. You can also use Balthazar Faction or pay with Zaishen Coins and gold to have the Zaishen Order unlock and train evolutions of pets for you.
Pet Unlock Pack: If you're looking for yet another possibility, you may purchase the new Pet Unlock Pack for $9.99 USD from the in-game store or the NCsoft Store, which will unlock all the common pets in the Menagerie.

because I'm just dying for all that new storage, I decided to take a stab at predicting the birthday celebrations
in 2007 they were Apr 27-30
in 2008 they were Apr 24-29
that started on a thursday last year

looking at this years calendar, Apr 24th is a friday, so it will definitely be by then, but possibly a day earlier if they want to make it an extra long weekend thing again
For those of you who are as bad with dates as I am, that is a mere week away from this upcoming weekend!
