This is a guide to fix Guild Wars from downloading files each time you enter a new zone by downloading all files at once. It works for both Windows mango Vista and Windows XP. Create a Shortcut of Guild Wars by going to the folder where you have Guild Wars installed (By default it's C:\Program Files\Guild Wars) and make a shortcut of GwFor those unfortunate people who have no idea how to create a Shortcut: Go to the Guild Wars folder as explained above, then right click Gw > Send To > Desktop (create shortcut)Now that we have our shortcut we can edit it so Guild Wars will download any pending files. Right click the shortcut and click PropertiesWhere it says Target there should be a link to the Guild Wars folder called "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" Change the link to the following "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image Note: you only need to add -image behind the link and make sure there's a space inbetween the " and -After you've added -image press Apply and OK then double click the shortcut, now Guild Wars should download all pending files. Note: you can only use this shortcut to download pending files, you can't use the shortcut to start the game.

yeah, I had to use this myself this past week since my hard drive was replaced if you are buying the game new or reinstalling it's the best thing you can do for yourself... or else whenever you zone through a portal you can have a long wait Of course if you've done it and the people in your party haven't... well you will be waiting for them!
remember it's -image after a space! and in Vista the path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"
