Poor Dallas, you know too much about hair for your own good. Anyway, I'm leaning towards the first one or a hybrid. Unless someone tells me a cool color I'm gonna go almost-black.

Blond like those in the pic imo then have a bleach highlight that you can put different colors in like pink blue pink is the best with blond imo.................but you can do that with black too...oh snap IDEA. you could dye it black then have a single blond highlight....those are always hawt imo

hmmm, so dark hair... then the first one
the reasoning: that second one doesnt' have much in the way of layers, so it's not gonna move much and therefore not going to catch the light at all in a dark color. As a matter of fact part of what makes that hairdo work is some really intense highlight that they put in her hair. The other thing is that covers up most of the face making it rather impractical for day to day wear. Like so many women you will find yourself with a small barette that you use to clip the hair way back and off the face... so it won't look like your dream picture. (trust me, the receptionist at the office this week was doing that with some new bangs she had put in)
The first one frames the face, the bangs are just long enough to be sultry and yet you can live with them since they don't wholey block the view for you. Plus the layers will move a bit, and you can even run your hands through it (the nicest part of a short hair do is how touchable it feels cause all the hair is ypung and healthy!)

Very true Kai. I'm just hoping it's not so short that it's a shock to me. I really wanted to get that pink hair from my other pic...but my mom said it would clash with my blue prom dress and with graduation and prom coming up nobody would take me seriously. XD And OMG! My friend "cheated" on her hairdresser and got ONLY her bangs cut somewhere else...they RUINED her bangs. Let that be a lesson to those who hadn't figured out yet, never cheat on your hairdresser!!

lol, if it's a shock...
well you usually adust in a week or so, but the thing to remember is that hair grows and any cut can be grown out...
you have no idea what a shock hair color can be. Pink would be at least as bad as the first time I went red! I would wait a couple minutes to turn on the lights in the morning so my mind could prepare for the mirror >.<
I've had to buy a couple of head bands to deal with that stage more than once but if you need a change, go for it! ^^
