I have a dA, i got about 20 faves on that one.

I use alcohol markers. They blend and you can create gradients (so that if ur pro there shouldnt be streaky backgrounds). The brands I like are Copic and the Trias, although the new look Tria are way out of my price range at $10 a pen!

Aww I never do progress shots. It's very rare I finish a picture, plus I gave my scanner to my little sister so I don't have one connected to my laptop anymores, so when i want to scan i need to hassle her so I can use her computer for 15/20 mins. (She's 15 and has a very busy social life and is connected to her msn.) I have the B&W because I coloured a photocopy and I can show the Photoshop progress but thats it... hmm

Did you blur out the colour in PS? /or colour it <.<
Or do you really have pen with that skincolour?
It looks like its been fixed in PS >< Since it looks so much different than Sousuke.

And btw, I showed the picture to my friend, and she went like: awwww, i want it, too! (ps. = she looves it)
And now she wants me to send it to her, so she can have it saved in her files! <.<

Ok so what I do, I make a Black and white picture (1)

I photcopy it and colour in the photocopies with the marker (2). Markers can make very smooth colouring, but still not as smooth as a soft brush on a computer. Photcoopy ink generally does not blur with markers (but some types of writing pens do). Because I coloured a photocopy, the balck parts aren't very black. Also, I don't have a lot of contrast often.

I scan it up and alter the contrast and hues on Photoshop (3). The problem with markers is that they're expensive and it can be dfficult mixing colours, so I don't have a very large palette. Plus, I can fix up mistakes on the computer!
